ASHLEY Roberts – singer with US R&B girl band the Pussycat Dolls – will model Ruth Tarvydas numbers in the upcoming Perth Fashion Festival.

Opening the show, Roberts will hit the runway in a gown from Tarvydas’ spring-summer 10/11 collection.

Tarvydas said she invited Ashley to star in her show as she “epitomises the Tarvydas brand – youthful, sexy & fun”.

“Ashley is a headline act & I am screaming with excitement that she is opening my show! Ashley is also set to impress us for a second time as she takes control of the turntables for a celebrity guest DJ set at our after party in the Fashion Bar,” Tarvydas said.

In a statement Roberts said: “I am really pumped about coming to Perth – it is such a gorgeous city.

“I am thrilled to be starring in the Ruth Tarvydas runway show for Perth Fashion Festival. I love her style & edginess & I can’t wait to try on all of her dazzling dresses.”

A sell-out success for the second time in two years, the Ruth Tarvydas show will be held at PFF’s Fashion Paramount in the Old Gasworks Building at 337 Wellington St on September 10.

More than 600 guests will attend.

“Ruth always puts on a show to remember & Ashley’s involvement will bring pop-star glamour, sex & sizzle, which everyone loves to see on the catwalk,” said Perth Fashion Festival Director, Mariella Harvey Hanrahan.

Perth Fashion Festival runs fom September 9 to 15.

How I Met Your Mother is about to fill in a major piece of Robin Sparkles’ pop-star backstory.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Pussycat Doll-turned-Dancing With the Stars champ Nicole Scherzinger has been tapped to play Jessica Glitter, Robin’s former BFF and costar of the Canadian talk show that also featured Alan Thicke.

“It’s going to be a satisfying third chapter in the Robin Sparkles trilogy,” says executive producer Craig Thomas. “It’s a prequel to both ‘Let’s Go to the Mall‘ and ‘Sandcastles in the Sand.’”

Adds fellow EP Carter Bays: “It’s the origin story of Robin Sparkles. You see where she came from.”
