Nicole Scherzinger learnt all about “hair and make-up” by styling herself while with The Pussycat Dolls. The singer discovered most of her top beauty tips and tricks from touring with her old bandmates. The girls all had to manage their own stage looks and went all out to try and create a sexy, smouldering appearance. “I learned about hair and make-up [from touring with PCD]. We did our own,” she told the January issue of UK magazine Glamour. “We really pulled out that sexy, cabaret side.” However, the star is really more a fan of natural beauty. Nicole enjoys embracing her own style now that she has gone solo. “I’m naturally a more boho-rock, surfer kind of girl,” she said. “Now that I’m coming into my own, I get to do more with my style.” The brunette beauty also revealed the secrets to her gorgeous tresses. The X Factor judge believes that washing your hair too much can strip it of the natural oils that protect your hair. “The secret is not to wash your hair too much – I do it only twice a week. Your natural oils protect it more than anything else,” she explained. “Typically, I let my hair air-dry. If I want a beachy look, I add salt spray or just scrunch it up in a bun.” Source: belfasttelegraph.co.uk |
The ‘Try With Me’ singer’s record label confirm her revamped LP will no longer be released this year. Nicole Scherzinger’s repackaged debut album has been officially delayed until 2012. Earlier this week the ‘Wet’ singer suggested on Twitter that ‘Killer Love’ would no longer make its December release date and record label Interscope have now confirmed the delay. “You know what, I’ve been waiting for it so long, I don’t even care about a couple more months,” Nicole told The Hollywood Reporter yesterday (16th November). “What’s the difference? It’s coming out when it’s ready to come out.” Nicole suggested her duties as Over-25s judge on The X Factor US may be partially to blame for the album’s unexpected delay. “[It is] taking up a lot more of my time than I anticipated,” she explained. “I want to make sure that when I put my album out, I have the time to devote to promoting it.” The former Pussycat Dolls singer previously pushed the album’s US release back from November to a date in December. ‘Killer Love’ launched in the UK in March but has been repackaged for its US release with several bonus tracks as well as her new single ‘Try With Me’ .
